Sanfordville kicks off PARP (Pick a Reading Partner) with “Frindle”

Sanfordville Elementary School launched its PTA sponsored PARP (Pick A Reading Partner) kickoff for all grades in the library last week.  This year’s “One School, One Book” choice is “Frindle“ by Andrew Clements.  During the kickoff event, each student was able to sign the “Frindle” banner, since we all know that everyone has the power to create change.

Teachers were given their “Frindle” books as well as the activities for the week.  Students were given a copy of their blank dictionary to keep.  Students are encouraged to add any new words that they learned or any words that may interest them to their dictionary.  Students finished up their kickoff with a scavenger hunt, where they had to find their own reading sticker that they were to add to their dictionary.
