WVMS Drama Club performs “Newsies”
Congratulations to the Warwick Valley Middle School Drama Club cast and crew, who presented “Newsies” in the high school auditorium over the weekend. Awesome job!
Directed by WVHS music teacher Noreen Hanson and produced by WVMS teacher Christy Brown, the middle school’s production stared eighth graders Madison Lijoi as Jack Kelly, Emmerson Powers as Katherine Plumber, and Lucas Cresser as Davey, as well as seventh grader Ashyln Brown as Crutchie.
The cast included more than 100 middle school students in all, with vocal direction by WVMS chorus director Shane Peters, set design by Dan McQuade and Rocco Manno, and costumes by Melanie Wesloske.
