Wildcat named Class A football scholar-athlete of the year

Warwick Valley High School senior Michael Miller was selected as the New York State High School Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the New York State High School Football Coaches Association.

The two-year starter and team captain has been a standout on the offensive and defensive lines, and was a key contributor to the Wildcats 8-2 finish this season. As a student-athlete, Michael has maintained a cumulative average of 101.8, is a member of the National Honor Society, as well as the Executive Leadership Council and the Sports Medicine Club.

Michael has received the Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award from the West Point Parents Club, and was selected for WVHS Portrait of a Graduate recognition in October. He recently received a Congressional Nomination to West Point from Congressman Patrick Ryan.

Ryan is also an exceptional lacrosse player. Go Wildcats!
