Warwick Valley Central School District will once again be offering its popular Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program during the 2024-2025 school year. The Warwick Valley UPK program provides early learning experiences for the children of WVCSD residents, and is funded through a New York State Education Department grant. UPK classes meet five hours a day, five days a week, for 180 days. Students must be four years old before December 1, 2024 to enroll.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the district will be able to accommodate up to 134 children.

As required by state regulations, the district will hold a lottery to assign the 134 slots. The Warwick Valley Central School District UPK Lottery will open for entries at noon on Friday, May 3, 2024, on the district’s website. Lottery entries will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024.

A reminder about the UPK Lottery will be posted to the district’s website and social media in the days
leading up to May 3, 2024. Parents of selected students will be notified by June 10, 2024.
