Sanfordville STEM Olympics is coming up on January 22

Calling all Olympians in grades K-4: You are invited to be a part of this year’s Sanfordville STEM Olympics, sponsored by the SES PTA!

You will be designing a STEM project that uses the Engineering Design Process to create your very own science-themed event.

Sanfordville STEM Olympics
Wednesday, January 22
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
* Snow date: Thursday, January 23

STEM Olympics form and permission slip were due by December 16, 2024. Projects should be brought in the night of the event and taken home after the event ends.

PROJECT GUIDELINES

  1. Your Olympic event should fall into either the SUMMER or WINTER category
  2. Your poster should be no bigger than 2.5 feet (a tri-fold poster board)
  3. Your poster should include: your first and last name, the name of your event, whether it is a summer or winter event, how your event works, and the steps you took using the Engineering Design Process
    1. Ask…
    2. Imagine…
    3. Plan…
    4. Create…
    5. Improve!

This project can be done alone or with a partner

No combustibles. No sharp projectiles. No animals. No fireworks.

If you need an extension cord, please bring one with you on the night of the event. If you are using water or any other liquid, please bring bins and towels to clean up any spills and keep our floors safe.
