Participate in Red Ribbon Week on Oct. 23-27
Dear Park Avenue Parents/Guardians:
This year’s Red Ribbon theme (Be Kind To Your Mind and Be Drug Free) is a reminder that everyday Americans across the country make significant daily contributions to their communities by being the best they can be because they live Drug-Free! The theme encourages everyone to use their voice to make a difference no matter who they are, where they’re from or what they do. The possibilities are endless when the community works together. The message communicated during Red Ribbon Week is centered around being drug and alcohol free. Since our students are young, we will focus on respecting our bodies and brains, making healthy choices, and making positive contributions to our community. We encourage you to have your child participate in our school wide Red Ribbon Week by having your child dress with the following in mind:
Date: | Message to Students: | How we’ll Show This: |
Monday – October 23rd | Respect our bodies and brains and make healthy choices | Everyone wear something RED to show your pledge for a healthy lifestyle |
Tuesday – October 24th | Be a good friend. Don’t get mixed up with the wrong crowd | Wear your craziest mixed up outfit |
Wednesday – October 25th | Be like a superhero and take care of your body and mind (eat right and exercise) | Dress up as your favorite Superhero |
Thursday – October 26th | Sock it to unhealthy and unsafe choices | Wear BRIGHT socks to focus on positive choices for a positive future |
Friday – October 27th | Our future is too bright for drugs and we’ve got the spirit to dream big! | Wear purple and gold or Park Avenue spirit wear |
Thank you in advance for having your children participate in Red Ribbon Week!
