Food Services: What changes have been made?

What has the District done to improve Food Services over the past two years?

  • Removed the middle school from the National School Lunch Program
  • Listened to the needs of our customers (students & parents)
  • Increased healthy options, eliminated food waste
  • Utilized our current equipment (pizza oven)
  • Brought back salad bars
  • Reintroduced deli bar (students create their own sandwiches)
  • Increased revenue so we could meet needs of customers (students & parents)
  • Created new middle school menu by developing exciting and healthy new recipes
  • Added vending machines in the high school and middle school that work with our POS System, allowing additional revenue for breakfast & lunch purchases
  • Created additional serving areas to ensure students have quick access to meals; no long lines
