WVMS Wildcat players thank the teachers who made an impact

October 4, 2023

The WVMS Wildcats modified football team was all about gratitude and recognition again this week, as their My Jersey, Your Impact campaign has reached Week 3! Each week, two of our Wildcat football players share their jersey’s with a teacher of their choice, as a way to say “thank you” for making a memorable and meaningful impact on their lives!

Jerseys are shared on gamedays, and teachers display them in their classrooms (or sometimes even wear them)!

This week, we have…

Gino Rudolph
Gino is one of the Wildcats returning players, and Coach Botta’s choice for most improved player since last year.

Gino chose to honor great math teacher Ms. Cronk.  She was always kind to him and always willing to help.

Ms. Cronk is proud to display #50!

** Even she doesn’t have Gino in math anymore, Ms. Cronk said she’s still willing to work with him when he wants some on extra math help during lunch.

Ernie Walker
OL/DL/LB
Ernie is a new recruit for the 2023 season, and has proven to be a dominant presence on the Wildcat defense. He is the sort of teammate who’s always willing to step into whatever role the team needs him to fill, with his great attitude and sportsmanship.

Ernie chose to honor his fifth grade teachers, Ms. Thomson and Ms. Rose.

Ernie said that they always looked out for him and really helped him get through a family tragedy.

Ms. Thomson and Ms. Rose are proud to share jersey #78!
