WVMS Wildcats “My Jersey, Your Impact” campaign continues in week five
Five more seventh grade players from the WVMS Wildcats modified football team honored some of their favorite teachers this morning. The My Jersey, Your Impact campaign has been going on for each gameday this season. Players honor some of their favorite teachers for the meaningful roles they’ve played during the students’ middle school careers by presenting them with their jerseys.
Braedan Hayes presented his #7 jersey to sixth grade teacher Ms. Kendra Wendt.
“Throughout my sixth grade school year she helped me so much with math, which ended up getting me into honors in seventh grade,” said Braeden. “I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her help.”
Jacob Barnett presented his #16 jersey to science teacher Mr. John Gouveia.
“Mr. Gouveia is my favorite teacher,” said Jacob. “He never gives too much homework and he is just a really nice person.”
Preston Hoye presented his #65 jersey to fifth grade teacher Ms. Tia Thomson.
“She is the nicest teacher I’ve ever had,” Said Preston.
Doug Evans presented his #11 jersey to ELA teacher Mr. Salil Sharma.
“He’s always a happy teacher and never lets the class get out of control,” said Doug. “He is so easy to talk to and always makes it easy for his students to ask questions when they need to.”
Quinn O’Brien presented his #2 jersey to sixth grade teacher Ms. Michelle Ryder.
“She is my favorite teacher I’ve had in middle school,” said Quinn. “She helped me so much learning math and science when I was in sixth grade.”
