WVHS vocal groups perform holiday music at Radio City Music Hall
| On Monday, the WVHS Meistersingers and Treble Choir enjoyed what has become an annual holiday season tradition (and big time honor) for the two talented vocal groups, performing on stage at one of New York City’s most venerable theaters, Radio City Music Hall! |  |
| The two ensembles made an early morning trip into NYC to o a little sight seeing beforehand, and to be sure they were ready for their stage call. Each group performed a five-minute, holiday-themed a cappella performance before a very large, and very merry, audience. |

| “Every year, we’re grateful for this amazing opportunity for our chorus students to perform in such a celebrated space as Radio City,” said a proud Ms. Hanson. “The students do an amazing job, and the memories made are the kind that last a lifetime!” |  |
Hear the Treble Choir and the Meistersingers this Thursday night, December 7 at 7:00 pm, at the annual WVHS Chorus Winter Concert, part of the WVCSD Winter Concert Series.
| Student ensembles from around the greater NY area are invited to perform as part of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Sounds of Christmas initiative. The initiative gives student ensembles the opportunity to perform on Radio City’s Great Stage as the opening act for the world famous Rockettes, right before they high kick their way through the nine show-stopping numbers of the Christmas Spectacular. |  |
| Between the camaraderie of the WVHS students, the kind treatment from the folks at Radio City, and the receptive audience, the students were definitely feeling some holiday spirit! They even got to enjoy a performance of the Christmas Spectacular. |  |
The Radio City performance was also a sort of high-end warm up for this week’s WVHS Chorus Winter Concert! The high school vocal ensembles will all be performing this Thursday night, December 7, at 7:00 pm, in the high school auditorium. See you there!
