Warwick Valley High School PTSA welcome letter

The Warwick Valley High School PTSA would like to welcome back our extended body of students from Chester, Sugar Loaf, Greenwood Lake, Warwick Valley and Pine Island and to all our freshman class who are joining us for the first time. We challenge the entire student body to explore your new world, define yourselves as individuals, use the resources provided to you by the teachers, staff, parents, school leaders, PTSA, community and fellow students to strive to become the best that you can be and stand proud as a WVHS Wildcat. To the upcoming graduates of the Class of 2023, as you begin your senior year, we hope you have memorable and a positive school year  as you navigate your decisions for  your future endeavors.

Welcome back to our teachers, administrators, support staff and security personnel.  We look forward to a unique and successful school year under the leadership of WVHS Principal, Marguerite Fusco, and Associate Principals Khris Arvanites, Chris Fiorntino and Erin Hill Lewis. We would like to recognize all the work that has been done in preparation for our students and teachers to be ready for the upcoming school year.   The Warwick Valley High School PTSA recognized and honored Principal Marguerite Fusco with the ” Above and Beyond Award” on November 5, 2020 at the district office. Principal Fusco was recognized for her steadfast dedication and commitment that she gives to all the students at Warwick Valley High School.

To the parents, it is through your contributions and support that has kept our student body and  the Warwick Valley School district one of the Best School Districts in Orange County.  Parents, teachers and students – please consider becoming a member of the WVHS PTSA. Your membership goes a long way in providing us with the framework to continue successful programs and student scholarships. We also invite our members to join us at our monthly meetings. The dates will be posted on the school calendar.

We can always be contacted through our email, and check our Facebook page often for news and events.

I would also like thank the current board members for volunteering their time, dedication and enthusiasm and to promote the PTSA and our students in a such positive way.

The Reflections Program

The WVHS PTSA runs the Reflections Program, which is a National PTA and New York State PTA cultural arts competition that gives students confidence in their abilities to explore ideas and learn through the arts. WVHS students can create and submit original works in the areas of dance, choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

WVHS Art teacher Kristen Spano was presented with “Above and Beyond”  WVHS PTSA Award at the Board of Education meeting in June 2019 for her dedication to her students and support of Reflections program with the NYS PTA.

The 2022-23 Reflections theme is “Show your voice…”

Interested students can find out more about it from this link or on our Facebook page, or you can email us and our Reflections chairperson will get back to you. Link to Reflections
