Wounded Warrior Challenge – Saturday, April 27… Wildcats vs. Rockland North
Warwick Valley High School will host the ninth Annual Wounded Warrior Project Challenge, taking on the North Rockland Red Raiders in most spring sports to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The event takes place on Saturday, April 27, starting with an 8:45 a.m. breakfast for the athletes at the WVHS south cafeteria.
Please come out and see Wounded Warrior Project speaker and Iraq War veteran Jacob Norotsky beginning at 10 a.m. in the stadium at C. Ashley Morgan Field. Mr. Norotsky will be traveling from North Carolina to share his incredible story and talk about the mission of the Wounded Warrior Project. The public is encouraged to attend.
At 11 a.m., Warwick and North Rockland varsity and junior varsity baseball, softball, tennis, golf, flag football and lacrosse teams will play in the name of the Wounded Warrior Project. Each school earns two points for a varsity win and one point for a JV win. The overall record is North Rockland five wins, Warwick two wins and one tie. Warwick has won two of the last three years.
