Student-Athlete of the Week: Zachary Ripp

Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize senior Zachary Ripp as this weeks’ Bill Garcia Agency Allstate Student-Athlete of the Week.  Portrait of Zachary Ripp

A two-sport standout, Zach is a midfielder for the Warwick lacrosse team and a two-year starter at defensive back for the Warwick football team. The Wildcats lacrosse team is currently at 7-2 coming off a recent, big win over Suffern.       

Zach maintains an overall grade point average of 96.8, which includes college courses in calculus, algebra and trigonometry, and Advanced Placement courses US history, English, and government, for college credit. Zach is a two-year NYSPHSAA scholar-athlete for football and lacrosse, maintaining a GPA over 90 in season. 

In the fall, Zach will attend the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he will study sports management and analytics.

Zach is the son of Jeannie and Daniel Ripp of Warwick. His sisters’ Shannon and Danielle are both alumni of Warwick Valley High School.
