Park Avenue to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 21-25
Dear Park Avenue Parents/Guardians:
This year we will once again be recognizing Red Ribbon Week here at Park Avenue Elementary School, the Week of October 21st through the 25th. Though the message of Red Ribbon Week is centered around being drug and alcohol free, since our students are young, we plan to focus on respecting our bodies and making healthy choices. We will be making morning announcements about Respect – summed up in 5 easy steps. Also, we encourage you to have your child participate in our school wide Red Ribbon Week by having your child dress with the following in mind.
Date | Message | How We’ll Show This |
Monday, Oct. 21 | Proud to be drug free! | Everyone wear something RED |
Tuesday, Oct. 22 | “Lei” off drugs | Wear a Lei and/or something Hawaiian |
Wednesday, Oct. 23 | Team up against drugs! | Wear your favorite team jersey |
Thursday, Oct. 24 | Strive to be your best! | Wear your BEST (for picture day) |
Friday, Oct. 25 | Strive to be your best! | Wear your BEST (for picture day) |
