More than 50 WVHS musicians perform at All-County festival
Congratulations to the Warwick Valley High School musicians who performed in this year’s Orange County Music Educator’s (OCMEA) Senior High All-County Music Festival.
This year, more than 50 Warwick Valley High School band, 0rchestra and chorus students were selected to take part in the festival. The students were chosen based on the success of their prepared audition solos, adjudicated by local music educators. It is a rigorous audition process that also includes sight reading and scale work.
Additionally, six of the Warwick Valley students selected to the all-county ensembles won high ranking positions at this year’s festival.
- Olivia Samberg, was awarded a OCMEA scholarship for students planning to pursue a career in music education. Olivia sang her solo, Misty, during the all-county concert.

- Anya Campbell, All-County Orchestra 1st Chair Bassist
The OCMEA All-County Senior High festival took place on January 24th and 25th in Cornwall.
“It was a truly outstanding weekend and a musical win for the Warwick Valley High School Music Department,” said a proud Elissa Maynard, Warwick Valley orchestra teacher.
