Interactors and Rotarians talk community service opportunities

October 30, 2023

Warwick Valley Interact Club welcomed five guests from the Warwick Valley Rotary Club on Monday. The Rotarians were at the High School to speak with club members about upcoming and annual local events, and the many ways students can get involved. The Warwick Valley Interact Club is most grateful to be sponsored by the Warwick Rotary Club.

Rotarians in chapters around the globe engage regularly in community service in their own communities and abroad. Interact Clubs are Rotary programs that bring together young people ages 12 through 18 together in the same spirit. Students develop valuable leadership skills, and are encouraged to explore and underst the power of Service Above Self. Most of all, they find out how serious leadership can be seriously fun!

Interact Club advisor Jeanine Fogler has been working with the WVHS Interact Club for the past 20 years, and is always excited to welcome new members and answers questions from anyone who may be curious about becoming an Interact Club member.

What are the benefits? Connect with leaders in your community and around the world to:

  • Take action to make a difference in your school and community
  • Discover new cultures and promote international understanding
  • Become a leader in your school and community
  • Have fun and make new friends from around the world

What’s involved?
Interact Club organizes at least two projects every year, one that helps our school/community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotarian sponsors mentor and guide our Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

How do I join?
