Five more Wildcats sign national letters of intent

Great news out of Wildcats Country today! Five more Warwick Wildcats signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) at a ceremony in the WVHS Media Center this morning. An NLI is a form completed to indicate a student’s commitment to play sports at NCAA colleges and universities.

The five young men signing letters today join 10 other Wildcats who signed their letters earlier this year, in November and February. Once again, the Media Center was packed with students, faculty, family, and friends who gathered together to celebrate this auspicious occasion and the bright futures ahead of these accomplished student-athletes.

Chase Fogg (Football/Baseball)

Chase signed his NLI to play baseball for the University of San Francisco (San Francisco, CA). USF competes in the West Coast Conference against schools including Gonzaga, Pepperdine, Pacific, and University of California, Santa Clara. Chase was recruited by USF Head Coach Rob Ditoma, and was scouted by Gardiner Webb, UNC Charlotte, and Towson. Chase plans to major in Business Management. Congratulations to Chase and his family, parents, Elena and Bill, and sister Alex, a 2019 Warwick grad.

Christian Felix (Football)

Christian signed his NLI to play offensive line for SUNY Brockport (Brockport, NY), for the NCAA Division IIII Brockport Eagles. The team competes in the Empire Eight (E8) against teams including Cortland, Ithaca, St. John Fisher, and Morrisville. Christian was recruited by Brockport Assistant Coach Matt Arita and Head Coach Jason Mangone, and was also scouted by St. John Fisher, Morrrisville, Alvernia University, and Western Connecticut State. Christian plans to major in Sociology. Congratulations to Christian and his family, parents Sandra and Ruben, sister Cassandra, and brothers Nathan and Jaebets.

David “DJ” Madura (Football)

DJ  signed his NLI to play offensive line for SUNY Brockport (Brockport, NY) and the NCAA Division IIII Brockport Eagles of the Empire Eight (E8). David was recruited by Brockport Assistant Coach Matt Arita and Head Coach Jason Mangone, and was also scouted by King’s College, St. John Fisher, FDU, and Keystone College. DJ plans to major in Business. Congratulations to DJ and his family, parents Kristie and John, sister Alissa, a 2021 Warwick grad, and brother Joshua, a 2017 Warwick grad.

Jacob Gibel (Football)

Jacob signed his NLI to play offensive line at Utica University (Utica, NY) for the NCAA Division IIII Utica Pioneers of the Empire Eight (E8). Jacob was recruited by Assistant Coach Joe Gerbino and Head Coach Blaise Faggiano, and was also scouted by St. Lawrence, Keystone College, Morrrisville, and Western Connecticut State. Jacob plans to major in Sports Management. Congratulations to Jacob and his family, parents Kimberly and Gregory, and brother Andrew.

  • All-League honorable mention at offensive guard
  • 2-year starter at guard
  • Strongest Wildcat, 560 lb. squat

Academic Accomplishments

William “Joey” Krasniewicz (Football/Baseball)

Joey signed his NLI to attend the University of Buffalo (Buffalo, NY). He will be part of the Division I Buffalo Bulls, of the Mid American Conference (MAC), competing against schools including Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Toledo. Joey was honored as a New York State Football Coaches Association Class A Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Joey was recruited by Bulls QB Coach John Whitcomb, and was pursued by every high academic, small school with a football across the Northeast. He is receiving the Pride of NY Scholarship and will be entering Buffalo’s Honors College as a dual major in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Congratulations to Joey and his family, parents Kristin and Joseph, and sisters Maggie and Georgia, 2017 and 2019 Warwick grads respectively.
