Warwick Valley High School senior Brian Laroe has chosen to attend St. Lawrence University next year. The three-year varsity football player captains the offensive line as the team’s center. Brian Laroe is the son of Jim and Jean Laroe.

Following in the footsteps of his father, a graduate of the Class of ’72, Brian developed into one of Section IX’s top returning offensive lineman. He recently won the Frozen Ropes Lineman Challenge Bench Press Competition, moving 185 pounds 24 times.

Brian carries a 91.3 overall GPA.  He earned NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete status for football and plans to study economics and minor in Spanish.

He was recruited by Coach Tanner Niles, choosing the St. Lawrence Saints over Castleton, Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and Wilkes University. Brian received the Presidential Scholarship.

The Saints compete in the Liberty League, along with Ithaca College, University of Rochester, Hobart College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Brian Laroe and the Wildcats will kick off the football season on March 1.
