Nearly two dozen students turned out, and congratulations are in order for the Class of `25 members who will be continuing their education at SUNY Orange next fall!

Instant Decision Day works like this. With the assistance of the high school guidance office, students registered for the event and submitted their transcripts to SUNY Orange for consideration back in November. These steps were requisite to attend the event. This week, the high school welcomed SUNY Orange Assistant Director of Admissions Bryanna Paul, who was here to answer questions and help the students complete the process.

“Days like this are really exciting,” Ms. Paul said. “And besides the excitement, it’s also nice because it takes a big thing off of a senior’s list that can often be a bit stressful.”

Over the next few weeks, students will receive resources from the college explaining the myriad opportunities it offers to incoming freshmen. The students will be closely considering their intended degree areas, and learn about programs including the SUNY Orange Honors program and Educational Opportunity program.

The Warwick Valley High School Guidance Office provides all kinds of support for and hosts all kinds of events related to college consideration, preparation and application, including invaluable financial aid information and access to college representatives throughout the year.
