WVHS Interact Club collects and ships off hurricane relief supplies to the Carolinas
Members of the Warwick Valley High School Interact Club participated in Operation Lift Life One: Hurricane Disaster Relief, an initiative that is helping people in the Carolinas regroup and rebuild following the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.
Interact Club members collected donations of essential items including baby supplies, trash bags, work gloves, can openers, and pillows and blankets. The much-needed items were taken to Our Lady of the Lake Church (Sparta, NJ), where they were loaded onto trucks headed to North Carolina.
Thank you to everyone who sent in donations! A special thank you to Interact Club members Jakob Yon, Madison DeJesus, and Madison DeSantis, who helped load the trucks.
It was a great effort by all! See more on this story and others like it on the WVCSD Facebook Page.
