WVHS choral ensembles win big at Dorney Park

The Meistersingers, Mistersingers and Treble Choir competed at the 2023 Music in the Parks Festival at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA on May 12. Each group placed 1st in their respective divisions, scoring superior ratings. And… the Treble Choir brought home the Overall choir award!

WVHS choral groups, collectively, were also also awarded the very prestigious Esprit de Corps Award, which “…recognizes the participating organization that displays an exemplary attitude of positive support and outstanding personal behavior throughout the festival weekend. Personal integrity, quality character values, a desire for excellence, and a spirit of cooperation serve as the cornerstone qualities of the Esprit de Corps Award.”

“Every group had an outstanding performance and the students should be applauded for their hard work, dedication and representing our District so well,” said proud teacher Noreen Hanson.
