June 21, 2024

Warwick Valley High School inducted 24 new members into the National Technical Honor Society in a ceremony on May 24, 2023. Students from the Cosmetology, Video Production, and Criminal Justice programs were inducted into this prestigious educational non-profit that honors, recognizes and empowers students and teachers in Career and Technical Education.

Inductees consistently demonstrate a proven record of outstanding leadership, scholarship, skills, honesty, citizenship, service, and responsibility, and have maintained an average of 90 or better within the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, and an overall average of 85 or better.

The induction included a candle lighting ceremony, recitation of the Honor Society Pledge and presentation of stoles seniors will be wearing at graduation.

CTE students were also recognized for their course completions, which included passing a National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) exam, and for participating in the New York SkillsUSA competition.

WVHS graduate Angelina O’Neill was the guest speaker. She was a Criminal Justice student at Warwick and is currently serving in the New York Army National Guard.

Most Outstanding Student awards were presented to Lydia Bingham (Cosmetology), Kiera Ferrier (Criminal Justice) and Logan McKay (Video Production).
