Homecoming Week 2024 is here! Get the details…

September 16, 2024

Homecoming week is here, and this year’s theme is Board Games! Each high school class will be creating a float based on a classic game, including…

  • Seniors: Candy Land

  • Juniors: Clue

  • Sophomores: Monopoly

  • Freshman: Guess Who?

Students and families… you can download the WVHS Homecoming Week 2024 flier here!

No one does homecoming like Warwick Valley, and this year will be no exception. Some of the main events this week include themed Spirit Week dress-up days and other Wildcat spirit-building activities (see your daily announcements!) leading up to the Pep Rally on Friday. The in-school pep rally is the culmination of Spirit Week, and will include the coronation of this year’s Homecoming Court! And then, on Saturday, the big fun really begins, as the homecoming parade steps off and the football game kicks off.

  • WVHS Homecoming Parade: Join us along Main Street, Saturday at 12:00 pm!

  • Homecoming Football Game: Also the yearly Spirit Trophy game against Goshen this year. Let’s gooooo… Kick-off at 1:30 pm. We will also be honoring the 1984 Wildcats OCIAA championship team!

  • Homecoming Dance: Saturday, from 6:30 – 9:30. Enjoy, students!

As always, the Homecoming Court will include three boys and three girls chosen as princesses and princes from each class, except for the senior class, which will have two — the Homecoming King & Queen! Hopeful royalty take note…

  • Only students who worked on floats at the bus garage for three nights will be eligible for nomination to the Homecoming Court.

  • Voting will take place at the bus garage on Thursday.

  • Coronation of the Homecoming Court will take place during the in-school Pep Rally.

Members of the Homecoming Court are required to ride in the Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning, participate in half-time activities at the football game, and assist in the clean up at the bus garage following the half-time announcements. And… marching band members MUST march with the band in the parade!

It’s a great week in Wildcat country, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone on Saturday!
