WVHS Robotics Team announces logo contest winners
Right on the heels of the Warwick Valley High School Robotics Team’s impressive 3rd Place overall finish at their first FIRST Tech Challenge competition of the year this month, the team has also announced the winners of its logo design contest!
The members of the WVHS Robotics Team opened up a creative competition to their peers to help create a legacy logo for the team. Logo submissions had to meet the following criteria:
- A purple/gold colored design
- An association with the Warwick Wildcat
- An association with robotics
Submissions flowed in for a couple of weeks before the team reviewed them all and narrowed down the contenders. After much deliberation, the team decided to choose two designs!
The design by senior Rachel Ramos will serve as the team’s legacy logo. A second logo, designed by junior Robotics Team member Jamie Curtis (and known as Catbot) was also chosen to represent the team.
The Robotics Team sends a big thank you to all of those creative Wildcats who submitted their ideas. And congratulations to Rachel and Jamie for their winning designs.
The WVHS Robotics Team is coached by teachers Andrew Warren, Ray Mark and Doreen Fothergill.
