Warwick Valley provides Physical Education at all grade levels, with the goal of maximizing student participation and engagement while providing a meaningful learning experience driven by student choice and course intensity. The Physical Education program exposes students to a wide variety of team and individual sports, opening them up to a lifetime of healthy hobbies and leisure experiences. The program is designed to provide all students with opportunities for mental, physical, and social growth and development through physical activities.
At the secondary level, students must complete eight semesters of Physical Education to meet graduation requirements. This includes dressing appropriately for class, participating actively, and behaving appropriately to earn credit each semester. The Warwick Valley Physical Education program follows all New York State requirements.
