How does the District determine the work that will be covered in a Capital Project?
Most of the work that is included in this project is work that is determined to be necessary by our Building Condition Survey (5 year Plan). All public schools in New York are required by NYSED to complete a Building Condition Survey. This is an extensive visual inspection and report that assesses the current conditions of school buildings. The visual inspection must be done by an architect or engineer along with District personnel. This report was completed in 2016.
Additional Investigation/Analysis

- MS Office Re-location design/analysis – develop plan, design for MS office transition.

Work Schedule
Not all work can be done in one summer. We will submit for certain amount of work that we feel we can accomplish this summer (2018). Work may also be done in the fall, if it does not disrupt students. Remainder of the projects will be done in Summer of 2019.
Submit Summer 2017-18 work to SED after Vote. We will have projects ready for submittal to limit any delay. We expect approval by March/April timeframe.
