Beattie flies, records fall… Wildcat sets NYS pole vault record

New York has a new pole vault record holder, and it’s Warwick Valley High School junior Luke Beattie!

During last weekend’s 2025 Steve Borbet Invitational, Luke cleared 17 feet (and 1.5 inches), making him the best pole vaulter in New York State history, both indoors and outdoors. Congratulations, Luke!

You may recall that siblings Lily Beattie (Class of 2024) and Luke Beattie won their respective outdoor track and field state championships in pole vault last year. They were both New York Public High School Athletic Association indoor state pole vault champions in 2024, too.
