District Art Show & STEAM Fair is a fun-filled, family-friendly don’t miss
The WVCSD K-12 Art Show & STEAM Fair is this Friday, night! Join us at the high school on May 17, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm for a night that is going to be packed with education as entertainment! The event is a fun-filled evening of family-friendly displays and activities.
Venture into a world of student-created interactive investigations and inventive creations in the old gym, at the Warwick Valley Middle School STEAM Fair! Discover cutting edge technology, demonstrated by students test driving the Robotics Club bots and working in 3D printing.
And, yes, of course there will be experiments with slime!
Next, enjoy a gallery walk through the new gym, where all types of artwork — from sketches to sculptures — by talented artists across every grade level will be exhibited. At 6:00 pm, the WVHS Fashion Design class will dazzle the audience with a preview of its annual newspaper!
Be sure to interact! Get your face painted or try some henna done by the talented students in the WVHS Foundations class. Have a fun (and free) photo taken by one of our WVHS Digital Artists. Pose with life-size props created by students in the Set Design class!
The Empty Bowls Club will be selling handmade pottery to benefit local food pantries and the Backpack Snack Attack program. There will be food available from the Warwick Valley Fire Department Goodwill Hook & Ladder, and ice cream provided by Groovy Scoops.
Here’s a look at last year’s fair!
