Fifth Grade Honor Roll
Announced for Third Quarter
Kings Elementary School Principal Sandra Wood Veninger is pleased to announce the fifth grade students who achieved academic distinction by being named to the Honor Roll (pdf) for the third marking period.
Elementary Band Teacher wins Music Grant
Feb. 1, 2012 - Elementary Band Teacher, Mrs. Ashley Head, has won a grant from the Orange County Music Educators Association. Mrs. Head’s grant is called “Elementary Jazz Improvisation.” This grant will supply materials and audio compact discs to aid in the development of Jazz Improvisation at the Elementary level. Mrs. Head teaches fourth- and fifth-grade band at Kings and Sanfordville Elementary Schools.

After-School Homework Help at Albert Wisner Library
The Albert Wisner Public Library has introduced an After-School Resource Room program. The activity room in the Children’s Department will be available most afternoons and evenings for QUIET study and homework help. WVHS students volunteering as “Homework Buddies” will assist students in Grades 1-5 with their homework. Click here for more information (pdf).
